On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is a great pleasure to announce that the 33rd Annual Meeting of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver “APASL 2024 Kyoto - The Center of Hepatology” will be held on March 27-31, 2024 in Kyoto, Japan. We are delighted to welcome you to the ancient city of Kyoto when the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom.
APASL was established in 1978 to conduct research on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of liver and biliary tract diseases for the benefit of people living in the Asia Pacific region, and to contribute to the development of medical science and the improvement of medical care. The Asia Pacific region has the world's largest population and 70% of the world's liver disease patients are concentrated in this region.
“APASL 2024 Kyoto - The Center of Hepatology” will provide a forum for the exchange of cutting-edge knowledge and experience in all aspects of the liver field. This will be the second APASL Annual Meeting to take place in Kyoto since it was held in 2007 with 2,937 participants from 65 countries. The APASL Annual Meeting in Tokyo in 2016 had 4,105 participants from 79 countries. 1,371 attended from Japan and 2,734 from overseas, including 537 from China, 296 from the U.S., 267 from Taiwan, and 160 from Pakistan. The APASL Annual Meeting to be held in 2024 is expected to draw 6,000 participants from 80 countries.

The deadline of abstract submission is scheduled on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
