After humble beginning in the 1990s Hepatology has gone a long way in Bangladesh. We now have independent Hepatology Departments at ten public and two private medical colleges in addition to the one at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University – the highest seat of post-graduate medical education in Bangladesh.
